Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be met by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. The rest of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey.

Overnight:  Arusha.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park.

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife. During the game drive, you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and a variety of bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Later, proceed to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Tarangire

Day 3: Tarangire – Central Serengeti.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, travelling through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin your game drive en route towards the Central/Western Serengeti area.

The Serengeti is renowned for its vast open plains and abundant wildlife, including wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephants, giraffes and numerous predators.

Continue with an afternoon game drive before proceeding to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti – Great Migration.

After an early breakfast, depart towards Northern Serengeti with a game drive en route. This area is particularly important during the Great Migration season, when large herds of wildebeest and zebra move through the northern Serengeti towards the Mara River.

Spend the day exploring the northern plains and searching for the migrating herds and resident wildlife. There is also a possibility of witnessing the famous Mara River crossing, depending entirely on the location and movement of the herds on the day.

Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti – Great Migration & Mara River Area

Enjoy another full day in Northern Serengeti dedicated to wildlife viewing and following the Great Migration.

Your game drives will focus on areas where the migrating herds are currently concentrated. If conditions and herd movements are favourable, there may be another opportunity to witness wildebeest attempting to cross the Mara River.

The day will also provide opportunities to see predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffalo and other plains wildlife.

Overnight: Northern Serengeti.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti – Central/Western Serengeti.

After breakfast, begin your journey back towards the Central/Western Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive en route, allowing you to explore different areas of the Serengeti ecosystem.

Continue with an afternoon game drive around the central plains, where wildlife can be found throughout the year. Later, proceed to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater.

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti with a game drive en route towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater floor for an extensive game drive. The crater supports a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during the crater visit before ascending and continuing to your accommodation in the Ngorongoro area.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 8: Arusha National Park – Arusha.

After breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park. Spend the day exploring the park, which offers a different landscape from the Serengeti, including forests, montane scenery and the area around Mount Meru.

Enjoy a game drive with opportunities to see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, monkeys and various bird species. Depending on the chosen route and park conditions, the day can also include scenic viewpoints and opportunities to appreciate the diverse landscapes.

Later, drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport.

After breakfast, enjoy your final morning in Arusha at leisure before your scheduled transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound international flight home.
