12 Days Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Holiday Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha. Meet your safari representative and settle into your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight: Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha National Park.

After breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park for a full-day game drive. Explore the park’s forests, open plains and Momella Lakes while looking out for giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, monkeys and various bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before returning to your accommodation.

Overnight: Arusha.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive through the park, famous for its lush groundwater forests, elephants, birdlife and scenic Rift Valley surroundings. Continue exploring the park in search of giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos and other wildlife.

Overnight: Lake Manyara/Karatu.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park.

After breakfast, proceed to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Explore the park’s impressive landscapes, giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Look out for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and various antelope species.

Overnight: Tarangire Area.

Day 5: Full Day in Tarangire National Park.

Enjoy another full day of wildlife exploration in Tarangire. Having an additional day allows you to discover different areas of the park and spend more time observing wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing with the afternoon game drive.

Day 6: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, travelling through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, continue with an afternoon game drive in the central/western Serengeti, an area known for its abundant wildlife.

Overnight: Central/Western Serengeti.

Day 7: Full Day Serengeti National Park.

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti on game drives. Search for the Big Five as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and wildebeests. Depending on the season, you may also encounter large concentrations of migrating wildlife.

Overnight: Central/Western Serengeti.

Day 8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

After breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and explore its remarkable wildlife-rich landscape. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the crater visit before proceeding to your accommodation.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Area.

Day 9: Flight to Zanzibar – Included.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport/airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, meet your representative and transfer to your beach accommodation. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the Indian Ocean.

Overnight: Zanzibar.

Day 10: Zanzibar.

Enjoy a relaxed day in Zanzibar. Spend your time at the beach, swim in the Indian Ocean or enjoy the facilities at your hotel. Optional excursions and water activities can be arranged at an additional cost.

Overnight: Zanzibar.

Day 11: Zanzibar.

Enjoy your final full day in Zanzibar at leisure. You may choose to relax at the beach or participate in optional activities such as a Stone Town visit, spice tour, snorkeling excursion or sunset dhow cruise.

Day 12: Departure from Zanzibar.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) for your outbound international flight home.
