Day 1
Nairobi to Samburu

This amazing safari trip kicks off from Nairobi with pick-up from the hotel or airport. Take a scenic route via the central highlands to the Samburu National Reserve in the semi-arid northern frontier of Kenya.

Samburu, Shaba, and Buffalo Springs game reserves are a place of endless skies, dust-red plains, and palm-fringed rivers.

The reserves lie on the fringes of the vast and arid desert once known as the Northern Frontier District.

The combined landscape of the Samburu game reserve features rocky battlements, craggy scarps, dry river beds, and fallen boulders rising out of the thorn scrub against a backdrop of the far-distant hills and the great red Table Mountain known as Ololokwe.

Dinner and overnight at an all-inclusive Samburu River Tented camp or similar.

Day 2
Full day in Samburu

A full day spent at the Samburu game reserve with unlimited game viewing along the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of this semi-desert environment.

The park is plentiful with crocodiles that bask on muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys that frolic in the late afternoon sun. Samburu is renowned for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five’ which are only found north of the equator – the long-necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe which is characterized by its liver-colored geometric patches defined by narrow white lines, the Grevy’s zebra which is smaller than the common zebra and looks more like a horse.

The beisa oryx with a black horizontal stripe running across its lower flank and the Somali ostrich males which have blue-grey necks and thighs.

A camel-back safari is a specialty in Samburu, as well as a cultural visit to the Samburu people who depend on their cattle, goat, sheep, and donkey can be arranged. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3
Ol pejeta Conservancy

Morning breakfast and later exit the park with an en-route game drive to the cooler Mount Kenya / Laikipia region.

Afternoon game viewing drives at the Olpejeta wildlife sanctuary. (Activities shall be determined by your choice of accommodation)

Sweetwater’s tented camp: Game viewing drives.

Mountain Lodge: Game viewing from the tree lodge or optional nature activities.

We retire for our dinner and overnight at Serena Sweet waters Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 4
Sweet Waters to Lake Naivasha

Early morning breakfast game en-route; leave Sweet Water for Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for Lunch. Enjoy an afternoon bike or better still hike to Hell’s Gate National Park.

We settle for our dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club Lodge.

Day 5
Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara

Morning boat ride to explore Lake Naivasha and view hippos, birds, and small game. Later proceed to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Late afternoon game viewing drives at the Mara. The Mara makes the ideal hunting ground for Kenya’s famous “big cats” and hosts her largest population of lions.

It also offers the best chance of spotting a leopard in the wild. Other predators include cheetah and spotted hyena.

The Masai Mara is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that inhabit the plains; also, for the pods of hippo that wallow in its muddy river beds.

Other animal species include the Masai giraffe, Topi, Hartebeest, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, zebra, impala, dik-dik, bushbuck, waterbuck, and red duiker. Drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

The reserve also boasts plentiful crocodile, monitor lizard, baboon, vervet, blue and red-tailed monkeys, bushbabies, and tree hyrax.

There are over 550 resident and migratory species of birds.

Day 6 & 7
Full day Game drive

After breakfast check-out with lunch boxes and depart for a full day game drive in pursuit of the Big 5 and other wildlife that inhabits this park. Picnic boxes will be served at the designated picnic area near Mara River, thereafter proceed with an afternoon game drive. Returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8
Masai Mara to Lake Victoria

Depart early in the morning to Tanzania via Isebania border musoma –via sirari border point. Meet our Tanzania vehicle and driver-guide at the border.

After clearing with the Immigration & Customs procedures embark on a journey (transfer) to Tembo Beach hotel where you board your boat to Lukuba Island.

An afternoon spent relaxing, fishing, hiking on the sunset rocks. Dinner and overnight stay at Lukuba lodge.

Day 9
Lukuba island to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, visit a nearby Fishing Village in the company of a local guide. Among other things, you will learn a lot about traditional Fishing techniques, the selling mode of fresh Fish, and the general rural life.

Thereafter, drive into the nearby Serengeti which shares the same ecosystem with the Maasai Mara game reserve.

Ideally, Maasai Mara is the smaller extension of the Serengeti. It is well located for game viewing drives.

A short afternoon game viewing drives en-route.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented camp or similar.

Day 10
Serengeti National Park Full day

A full day game viewing drives as we explore this vast nature endowed wildlife reserve. Options of morning and afternoon or full day game viewing sessions are available to you.

The annual wildebeest migration is Serengeti’s most famous attraction. It is also home to a pride of its lions which have been fitted with radio-transmitter collars so that their movements may be tracked.

Other wildlife you may see includes cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thompson and Grant’s gazelle, Eland, Impala, Klipspringer, Hippo, and Warthog.

Drive back to Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 11
Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Depart the Serengeti with a game viewing drive en-route. Descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro crater for game viewing in this unique caldera park.

We shall look out for Rhino, Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cheetah, Buffalo and Hippo. Later we ascend to the crater rim.

Catch a glimpse of the most magnificent sunset views in Africa from the crater rim!

Later drive back to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12
Ngorongoro to Amboseli

Ngorongoro – Amboseli National Park. 385Km: Approx. 6 -7 Hrs with lunch and border stops

After breakfast, proceed to Amboseli national park.

Border crossing and immigration formalities at the Namanga border town.

Afternoon game viewing drives at the Amboseli National Park with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli is an international biosphere nature reserve featuring a dried-out lake bed, rolling savannah, and lush green swamps.

Amboseli hosts various animal species including the Elephant, Antelope, Spotted Hyena, Jackal, Warthog, Olive baboon, Vervet monkeys

The observation hill at Amboseli National Park is easily climbed and offers stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Kibo Lodge or any of similar.

Day 13
Full game at Amboseli National Park

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drives at the national park.

Weather permitting the clouds will shear off, leaving you mesmerized by the majesty of the Kilimanjaro and its gleaming snowcapped peaks.

Today shall be spent exploring Amboseli National Park on unlimited game viewing drives.

Retire for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Kibo Mid-Range Luxury Tented camp.

Day 14
Amboseli to Nairobi

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive in search of the predators and grazers. Extra exit game viewing drives as you leave Amboseli, lunch serve en-route to arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon with hotel/Airport drop off where the safari ends.
