12-Day Uganda Adventure, Culture & Wildlife Safari Itinerary.
Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe/Kampala. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and settling in.
Overnight: Entebbe/Kampala.
Day 2 – Kampala City Tour & Ugandan Cooking Experience.
After breakfast, enjoy a guided Kampala city tour, exploring some of the city’s important landmarks, bustling streets and local neighborhoods. Experience the vibrant culture and everyday life of Uganda’s capital.
Later, take part in a Ugandan cooking experience, where you will learn how to prepare some traditional Ugandan dishes using local ingredients. Enjoy the meal you have prepared before returning to your accommodation.
Overnight: Kampala.
Day 3 – Kampala/Entebbe to Sipi Falls & Coffee Plantation Tour.
After breakfast, depart Kampala/Entebbe and drive eastwards towards Sipi Falls in the foothills of Mount Elgon.
Upon arrival, visit the small coffee plantations around Sipi Falls. Learn about the local coffee-growing process, from cultivation and harvesting to processing and preparation. You will also have the opportunity to interact with local farmers and experience the region’s coffee culture.
Overnight: Sipi Falls.
Day 4 – Sipi Falls Hike.
Today, explore the beautiful Sipi Falls on foot. Embark on a guided hike through the surrounding countryside, passing through local communities, farms and lush landscapes as you make your way to the waterfalls.
Enjoy spectacular views of the waterfalls and the surrounding Mount Elgon landscape before returning to your accommodation.
Overnight: Sipi Falls.
Day 5 – Sipi Falls to Moroto via Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve.
After breakfast, depart Sipi Falls and drive towards Moroto, passing through the scenic landscapes of northeastern Uganda.
En route, visit Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve, one of Uganda’s largest conservation areas. Enjoy a scenic drive through the reserve with opportunities to spot wildlife and birds while appreciating the open savannah landscape.
Continue to Moroto and check in at your accommodation.
Overnight: Moroto.
Day 6 – Hiking Mount Moroto.
After breakfast, set out for an exciting hiking adventure on Mount Moroto. Accompanied by a local guide, explore the mountain landscape and experience the unique scenery and communities around the Karamoja region.
The hike provides beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding plains and an opportunity to experience the natural environment of northeastern Uganda.
Overnight: Moroto.
Day 7 – Moroto to Kidepo Valley National Park.
After breakfast, depart Moroto and drive towards Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Uganda’s most remote and spectacular wilderness areas.
Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel deeper into the Karamoja region. Upon arrival in Kidepo, check in at your accommodation and spend the remainder of the day relaxing and enjoying the wilderness surroundings.
Overnight: Kidepo Valley National Park.
Day 8 – Walking Safari & Jeep Safari in Kidepo Valley National Park.
Begin the day with a guided walking safari in Kidepo Valley National Park. Explore the wilderness on foot while learning about the park’s plants, wildlife tracks and ecosystem.
Later, embark on a jeep safari through the park. Kidepo is renowned for its spectacular landscapes and diverse wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes and, with luck, lions and other predators.
Overnight: Kidepo Valley National Park.
Day 9 – Kidepo Valley National Park to Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, depart Kidepo Valley National Park and begin the journey towards Murchison Falls National Park.
Enjoy the scenic drive through northern Uganda, passing through remote communities and changing landscapes. Upon arrival at Murchison Falls, check in at your accommodation and relax.
Overnight: Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 10 – Game Drive & Boat Safari in Murchison Falls National Park.
Start the morning with a jeep game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the savannah in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, lions and a variety of bird species.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Victoria Nile towards Murchison Falls. The cruise provides excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants and numerous water birds along the riverbanks.
Overnight: Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 11 – Murchison Falls, Top of the Falls & Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
After breakfast, visit the Top of Murchison Falls for a guided hike to viewpoints overlooking the dramatic point where the Nile is forced through a narrow gorge.
Afterwards, depart Murchison Falls and drive towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, enjoy a guided rhino trekking experience and learn about Uganda’s rhino conservation efforts.
Continue towards Entebbe/Kampala and check in at your accommodation.
Overnight: Entebbe/Kampala.
Day 12 – Departure from Entebbe.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time depending on your flight schedule. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home, marking the end of your Uganda adventure.
Flight home: Not included in the safari price.
