9-Day Uganda Wildlife, Chimpanzee & Gorilla Safari Itinerary.

Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey.

Overnight: Entebbe.

Day 2 – Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, depart from Entebbe/Kampala and drive towards Kibale National Park, passing through Uganda’s beautiful countryside and local communities.

Upon arrival in the Kibale area, check in at your accommodation and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Overnight: Kibale National Park.

Day 3 – Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After breakfast, head into Kibale National Park for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, explore the rainforest in search of chimpanzees and other primates.

After the trek, depart Kibale and drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, check in and relax while enjoying the surroundings of the park.

Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4 – Game Drive & Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Start the day with a morning jeep safari through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and a variety of bird species.

Later, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda’s most scenic wildlife experiences. The channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is known for its large concentration of hippos, crocodiles and water birds.

Return to your accommodation after the boat safari and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5 – Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda.

The journey takes you through scenic highlands, local villages and beautiful countryside. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and prepare for your upcoming gorilla trekking experience.

Overnight: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 6 – Gorilla Trekking in Rushaga & Nkuringo.

Today is dedicated to the ultimate Uganda wildlife experience: mountain gorilla trekking.

Depending on the permits and trekking arrangements, explore the southern and southwestern sectors of Bwindi, including Rushaga and Nkuringo. The trek takes you through the dense rainforest in search of one of Uganda’s habituated gorilla families.

Once the gorillas are located, you will have an unforgettable opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat while following the park’s guidelines for responsible wildlife encounters.

Overnight: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 7 – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Lake Mburo National Park.

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive towards Lake Mburo National Park.

Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the forested highlands towards the open savannah landscapes surrounding Lake Mburo. Upon arrival, check in and relax.

Overnight: Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 8 – Lake Mburo Walking Safari, Game Drive & Mountain Biking.

Begin the day with a guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. This offers a different perspective of the park and allows you to experience the wildlife and landscape on foot.

Later, enjoy a jeep safari through the park in search of zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, giraffes and other wildlife.

In the afternoon, experience a mountain bike safari outside Lake Mburo National Park, cycling through the surrounding countryside and local communities while enjoying the scenery and rural Ugandan way of life.

Overnight: Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 9 – Lake Mburo to Entebbe/Kampala & Departure.

After breakfast, depart Lake Mburo National Park and drive back towards Entebbe/Kampala.

Upon arrival in Entebbe, proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight home.

Flight home is not included in the safari price.

End of Safari.
