10-Day Uganda Safari Itinerary.

Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and enjoy the surroundings of Entebbe.

Overnight: Entebbe.

Day 2 – Entebbe/Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park.

After breakfast, depart Entebbe/Kampala and drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. En route, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino trekking experience, where you can observe Uganda’s rhinos in their natural environment.

Continue to Murchison Falls National Park and, time permitting, visit the Top of the Falls for a hike and spectacular views of the Nile as it is forced through the narrow gorge.

Overnight: Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3 – Murchison Falls Game Drive & Boat Safari.

Start the day with an early morning jeep safari in Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the savannah in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, lions and other wildlife.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. The cruise offers excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species along the riverbanks.

Overnight: Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 4 – Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and drive southwards towards Kibale National Park, passing through Uganda’s scenic countryside and local communities.

Arrive at Kibale and check in at your accommodation. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and prepare for the following day’s chimpanzee trekking.

Overnight: Kibale National Park.

Day 5 – Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk.

After breakfast, head into Kibale National Park for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Walk through the rainforest with experienced guides while looking for habituated chimpanzee families and other primates.

Later, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided swamp walk. The sanctuary is well known for its rich birdlife, primates, butterflies and lush vegetation.

Overnight: Kibale National Park.

Day 6 – Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Game Drive.

After breakfast, drive from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a jeep safari through the park’s diverse landscapes.

Keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lions and other wildlife as you explore the park.

Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 7 – Queen Elizabeth National Park Game Drive & Boat Safari.

Enjoy another jeep safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, exploring different areas of the park and searching for wildlife.

Later, take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda’s best wildlife-viewing experiences. The channel is home to large numbers of hippos, crocodiles and water birds, with elephants and buffaloes often seen along the shores.

Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 8 – Queen Elizabeth to Lake Mburo National Park & Night Game Drive.

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Lake Mburo National Park.

Upon arrival, enjoy some time to relax before heading out for an exciting night game drive. With the help of a spotlight, you may encounter nocturnal wildlife such as zebras, impalas, hippos, bushbucks and other species that become active after sunset.

Overnight: Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 9 – Lake Mburo Game Drive & Walking Safari.

Begin the day with a jeep safari in Lake Mburo National Park, exploring the park’s savannah and woodland areas. Look out for zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, elands and other wildlife.

Later, enjoy a guided walking safari, offering a different perspective of the park as you explore its landscapes on foot and learn about tracks, plants, birds and smaller wildlife.

Overnight: Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 10 – Lake Mburo to Entebbe/Kampala & Departure.

After breakfast, depart Lake Mburo National Park and drive back towards Entebbe/Kampala. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a final stop or some relaxation before being transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.

Flight home is not included in the safari price.
